Job Description SummaryThe Multi-Site Expert, reporting to the Field Operations Country Leader, will be responsible for controlling and supporting the Field Operations tasks with respect to scope, schedule, and budget. Based on business needs, the Multi-Site Expert may be more involved with tendering stage of a project, execution phase, or a mix of the two. The MSE will support multiple projects at one time across North America.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Support Field Operations team in preparing the site for mobilization and execution.Support in schedule preparation & updatingScope management.Build robust project financial tracking structure and forecasting, and ensure project team is aligned accordinglyLeverage other functions as well as teams within Field Operations (Methods, Special Tooling, other MSEs, etc.) to ensure smooth executionAnalyze specification & participate in Base of Scope definitionDetermine strategy pertaining to labour, scheduling, logistics, conditions, etc.Work with Sourcing & Engineering function for multi-functional strategyLeverage reference projects executed in the pastWork with Costing team to ensure correct strategy is chosen & ultimately validate the costing estimatesPrepare risks & opportunities for Field Operations.Occasional travel for site visitsAttend the various gate reviewsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or management field from an accredited institution (or Associates' Degree with an additional 2 years' experience, or HS/GED with an additional 4 years' experience);Minimum of 5 years of experience in field execution (Hydro highly preferred)Desired Characteristics:
Project Management experience;Power generation experience;Field Management experience;Experience with technical concepts (including Hydro Machines, turbines, generators, etc.);Excellent leadership skills;Strong EHS culture;Strong influencer and capacity to lead change across the Field Ops function;Strong IT skills (i.e. MS Office).Project Management Certification;Bilingual (English & French).Additional Information
